Five Sentence Emails

“Whether UR young or old, the point is that the optimal length of an email message is five sentences. All you should do is explain who you are, what you want, why you should get it, and when you need it by.” – Guy Kawasaki

I do not email a ton, but there is one strategy that I have been trying to adopt lately and will be trying to stick with heading forward: the five-sentence email rule.

It is pretty self-explanatory. Do not use more than five sentences per email. If you need more than that, maybe use the telephone instead.

(Or cheat by using a run-on sentence.)
